What have I been up to recently? Not lots. But I see it’s been several weeks since my last post. So I figured I’d post all the news that’s fit to print.
There was a kid who grew up in Britain and dreamed of one day being the global head of an ad agency in America.
I’ve been watching programming on the TV box recently, and it seems impossible to avoid seeing ads for Windows 7 these days. Now my profession in advertising aside, I think this campaign offers something that everybody can dislike equally.
It seems that nature is not without a sense of irony.
Almost immediately following my last blog post about the farce of pig flu, I was stricken with a case of it. And in the past four days spent on my couch, a lot went through my mind besides cabin fever. Which is really more of a preface to the following list of non-sequiturs than anything else:
The pig/swine/bird flu/H1N1 has gripped the nation. I know that where I work, confirmed cases lead to the entire floor being scrubbed and disinfected.
When we first heard about the pig flu this past summer, I remember everybody completely flipping out, but then how it ended up being pretty innocuous.

If you like salt, then The Grocery Bistro is for you.
A trendy new restaurant with poor design (menu font, website, color selection) but decent decor, The Grocery Bistro is bringing the best from Morton’s of Chicago (the salt producer, not the famed steakhouse) to just west of the loop.
