Howdy.  It’s been awhile since I last posted.  And it seems like it’s been a really long time since I posted some pictures.  So I’m gonna do that in this post.  But first I’m gonna write about something that I find irritating.

Everybody and their mother (in my case, ‘father’) is on Twitter these days.  It’s gotten to be  something you see at the end of an ad.  Seriously–even a local car dealership’s commercial will tell you to follow them on Twitter.  Now I should first point out that I think Twitter is based on the most basic form of narcissism I can imagine…  I mean, the basic premise is that throughout the day, you can follow what somebody else is doing throughout the day.  Which, for me, begs the question: who’s life is so boring that they want to follow a short-form liveblog of somebody ELSE’S boring life?  Is this somehow a way to live vicariously through others?  Now, on top of that, tell me why I would care to follow the on-goings of a local car dealership–or any other business, for that matter–as they unfold.  Unless your business is one that cultivates disciples (like Apple, or Special K), why would anybody care what your business updates are?  I can see Twitter being useful during a political election, or something where people of importance have something interesting to say.  But 140-character quips and attempts to entertain your ‘followers’ is pretty appalling.  Let the downfall of western civilization begin, already.

Separately, here’s a picture:
